Bourda Green Caribbean Grocery is a minority-owned family business,
which was founded in the year 2003 as a Georgia Registered Corporation.
It is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Patrick and Paula Sanford,
who both have an obsession with quality products, impeccable standards and
friendly customer service.
The idea to start the food store was born out of the perceived need
for a well-stocked West Indian food store in Dekalb County that
would offer customers a wide choice of multi-cultural foods which
would afford them the opportunity to enjoy and re-live
“the good ole time cooking of yester-year”.
Their joint effort is further amplified by the daily presence of their son Gavin,
who is sometimes called upon to work the store either single-handedly
or teamed-up with his parents, Paula and/or Patrick.
This strongly-knit team has, in a very short period, developed
Bourda Green Caribbean Grocery into the county’s leading Caribbean
food store providing for the needs of its regular customers and visitors alike.
